Gunderson Dettmer is pleased to announce that Alexa Belonick has joined the firm as a Partner in its San Francisco office and a member of its Public Offerings/Public Companies practice. Formerly a partner at Morrison & Foerster, Belonick serves as an advisor to private and public companies on a wide range of securities and transactional matters, including public offerings, compliance, and public reporting and governance.

Belonick advises companies including their management teams and boards of directors on a range of securities regulation and corporate governance topics. She works with clients preparing to go public and through the full scope of post-IPO matters, including ongoing public reporting and compliance and various forms of public and private debt and equity financings. Her practice encompasses all aspects of public company representation, including assisting clients with an array of securities law structures for strategic transactions and mergers and acquisitions, as well as directing issuer share repurchases and reorganizations.

Belonick is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 2011) where she was the Editor- in-Chief of the Virginia Law Review, the University of St. Andrews (M.A., 2005) and the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., with highest distinction, 2004). Prior to Morrison & Foerster, she began her legal career in the Capital Markets Group at Davis Polk & Wardwell.
