
Jace E. Clegg
Jace practices in the tax group in our New York office.
Jace is a tax partner in Gunderson Dettmer’s New York office. Jace’s practice encompasses all areas of corporate and partnership taxation, including the taxation of mergers and acquisitions (both domestic and cross-border). He has worked on numerous matters involving structuring tax-efficient commercial and transactional structures for our corporate clients. Additionally, Jace’s practice focuses on the formation and general representation of venture capital and private equity funds and related entities.
Jace’s representative matters include:
- Represented an insurance company in its sale for $400M
- Advised an energy company partnership in a $900M financing transaction
- Advised a venture capital fund in raising a $300M fund
Jace enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and his daughter. Jace is also an avid University of Utah athletics fan.
Jace is a graduate of Cornell Law School, where he earned his J.D. and LL.M. in International and Comparative Law. He also earned a LL.M. in Taxation at New York University and a B.A. from the University of Utah.
