Gunderson Dettmer represented client Atlantic Quantum in its acquisition by Google. Atlantic Quantum is an MIT-founded startup that develops highly integrated quantum computing hardware.
Its modular chip stack, which combines qubits and superconducting control electronics within the cold stage, will help Google Quantum AI more effectively scale its superconducting qubit hardware, and accelerate progress on its roadmap to a large error-corrected quantum computer and real-world applications.
The Gunderson deal team was led by corporate partner Dave Gammell and included corporate associates Graham Rogers, Chris Sundquist and Tyler Vandre, M&A counsel Matt Martinez, strategic transactions and licensing partner Marna Pattaropong and associate Kelvin Chan, tax partner Jace Clegg and associate Morgan Otway, executive compensation partner Emily Cabrera and associate Megan Canepari, and employment and labor associate Mark Macchi.
