
Christina Chen
Christina is an associate in the Strategic Transactions and Licensing group.
Christina specializes as an outsourced general counsel and strategic advisor to a wide array of venture-backed companies in the artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, semiconductor, SaaS, open source software, and financial technology industries. She leverages her background in software development and information technology to speak the language of her clients and to guide them through various cutting edge issues at the nexus of law, technology and business. Christina regularly negotiates intellectual property license and development agreements and advises companies and leading venture capital firms on the protection and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets. Prior to joining Gunderson, Christina practiced at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she represented private equity firms and public companies in mergers, acquisitions and similar deals, and she currently leverages such experience to assist her clients and venture capital firms in similar transactions.
Christina received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. While in law school, she concurrently pursued and obtained a Master of Computer & Information Technology degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science and a Management certificate from the Wharton School. Prior to attending law school, Christina was a cybersecurity analyst at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where she investigated data breaches and other cybercrimes.
