Christel is a corporate partner and a founding partner of our São Paulo office.
Christel represents emerging growth companies throughout their life cycle, from international reorganizations, early-stage financings and corporate governance, through late-stage financings and M&A. She also represents the venture capital funds supporting and investing in these companies. Her practice focuses on the Latin America region. Christel is a co-founding partner of our São Paulo office where she spends most of her time. Prior to becoming a New York qualified attorney, she practiced law in Brazil as a corporate associate for several years.
Recent transactions handled by Christel include early- to late-stage financings for companies such as Celcoin, NG Cash, Seedz, and Contabilizei, as well as M&A matters involving iFood, Warren, Seedz, and others. She also advises venture capital firms on their investments in Latin America, including Prosus, Upload, Monashees, and Volpe.
Christel has been a speaker at venture capital conferences and startup workshops, and has authored articles and interviews on VC-related topics in outlets such as Bloomberg Línea, Exame, Startups.com, Neofeed, and Pipeline. Most recently, she contributed to Endeavor’s Founder Liquidity in Brazil report as a mentor.
