UnblockPay Raises $4.5 Million Seed

Gunderson Dettmer represented UnblockPay, a Brazil-based fintech specializing in international payments via stablecoins, in its $4.5 million seed financing.

The new capital will go towards regulatory and compliance structure, product expansion, and new integrations of local payments in Latin America and Asia.

In a Finsiders Brasil article profiling the transaction, UnblockPay founder and CEO Lucca Freire said, “Unblock was created to address exactly this gap, acting as a provider of technology and regulatory infrastructure so that currency traders, financial institutions, and the financial market can offer international currency exchange.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Christel Moreno and included Eduarda Tavares.
