Veradigm Acquires ScienceIO for $140M
Gunderson Dettmer represented client ScienceIO, a leading language model company for healthcare, in its acquisition by Veradigm, the leading provider of healthcare data and technology products and solutions. The purchase price for ScienceIO is $140 million in cash, subject to customary adjustments. The ScienceIO platform empowers professionals and organizations with secure, responsible AI to streamline workflows, improve decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.
Through the acquisition, Veradigm will leverage ScienceIO’s AI platform to create its own proprietary larger language models, launch new features, reposition its self as a leader in the healthcare data intelligence market and deliver greater value to its customers for better outcomes for patients.
