TCV leads Instawork $60M Series D
Gunderson Dettmer represented client TCV in its lead investment of Instawork’s $60 million Series D financing. Instawork’s marketplace features job shifts for professionals and hourly workers, enabling hospitality businesses to hire talent for work on demand. The new capital will be used to accelerate investment in its AI-powered mobile app and platform.
The new round also includes participation from 9Yards Capital, Larry Fitzgerald Jr., Benchmark, Spark Capital, Craft Ventures, Greylock, Four Rivers Group and GV.
In the announcement of the transaction, TCV general partner Gautam Gupta “believes the job-matching platform ‘is just getting started,’ and investors are looking at its potential for long-term success.”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Jeff Engerman and included Max Perlman, Taylor Sarkaria, Jeff Salomon, James Sebel, James Gately and Morgan Clarke.
