Eventual Announces Series A Led by Felicis and Seed Led by CRV
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Eventual, a multimodal AI data platform, in its $30 million total financing. The company raised a $20 million Series A, led by Felicis Ventures, with participation from M12 Ventures and Citi, and a Seed financing led by CRV, with support from Y Combinator, Essence VC, and Array Ventures.
Eventual’s AI-powered platform is made to work with all types of data, allowing users to search through huge amounts of images and video as easily as they would search a regular data table. The new financing will support the hiring of engineers and the development of data infrastructure required for the AI era.
In the announcement of the transaction, Eventual co-founder and CEO Sammy Sidhu said, “The explosion of generative AI has created an unprecedented demand for multimodal data processing. Eventual’s mission is to build generational technology that makes data processing across all modalities simple, reliable and performant regardless of scale.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Paul Sullivan and included Yeji Han, Alan Gao and Shu Hu.
