Sentient Energy Acquired by Koch Engineered Solutions

Gunderson Dettmer client Sentient Energy, a platform that provides intelligent sensing for power utilities, was acquired by Koch Engineered Solutions.

In the announcement of the transaction CEO of Sentient Energy Jim Keener said, “KES’s drive to create a new intelligent grid platform capable of meeting the distribution grid needs of today and tomorrow is exciting and innovative. Sentient Energy’s Grid Analytics System creates a strong foundation in which to build upon. The Sentient Energy team is excited to work with KES and be part of the journey forward.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by John Dietz and Andy Bradley and included Javed Basu-Kesselman, Jesse Birbach, Laurel Fedder, Travis Glock, Peter Jung, Gina Marek, Nicholas Markman, Ashley Nakamura, Jaime Narayan, Gianna Sagan, Geoffrey Wright and Albert Yeh.
