Prosus Leads $8.2M Seed Funding of Kismet
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Prosus Ventures as it led the $8.2 million seed funding round of Kismet, an Australia-based healthcare digital community platform, together with Airtree Ventures. Since its launch in February 2023, Kismet, which connects caregivers, healthcare providers and health insurance globally, has provided caregivers access to more than 35,000 providers and support coordinators. The new capital will be used for strengthening its team and global presence.
In the announcement of the transaction, Head of Investments, SEA & ANZ at Prosus Ventures Sachin Bhanot said, “Kismet is defining a completely new category in healthcare – positioned at the unique intersection of software, healthcare, ecommerce and payments. It is Australia's first comprehensive digital ecosystem player, with a founding team with demonstratable experience and success. We're thrilled to lead this investment round and support the company as it seeks to redefine the caregiving experience.”
