Benjamin is a trusted advisor to companies and investors driving the next wave of innovation across Asia and around the world. He represents high-growth startups, venture capital funds and private equity investors on complex cross-border financings, acquisitions and exits across Southeast Asia, India, U.S, Australia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Clients turn to him for practical, solutions-driven advice that help them move quickly, manage risk, and capture opportunity in competitive, high-stakes markets.
Benjamin works alongside founders, executives and boards through the entire life cycle of a company, from incorporation and early stage financings to growth rounds, strategic acquisitions, and successful exits. He has represented some of the region’s most influential and market-defining businesses, including Aspire (Singapore), Salmon (ADGM/Philippines), Pintu (Indonesia), Orange Health (India), Dachin (Indonesia), Believe Beauty (Saudi Arabia), Loop Health (India), PayMongo (Philippines), Pickup Coffee (Philippines), Terminal Africa (Nigeria) and RevSure.AI (India).
On the investor side, Benjamin acts for many of the world’s most active venture capital and growth equity funds including Accel, Antler, Asia Partners, EDBI, Goodwater Capital, Granite Asia, Lightspeed, New Enterprise Associates, Peak XV, Prosus Ventures, SIG, StepStone Group and Tiger Global, structuring investments, negotiating transactions, and enabling them to navigate diverse legal and regulatory landscapes as they scale their portfolios globally.
Before joining Gunderson Dettmer, Benjamin practiced at a leading Singapore law firm, focusing on private M&A, joint ventures and cross-border investments. He earned his law degree from the National University of Singapore, where he received the prestigious Peter English Memorial Prize and a scholarship for sporting excellence.
With dual admission in New York and Singapore, and fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, Benjamin helps clients bridge legal, commercial and cultural divides and enables them to execute cross-border transactions seamlessly.
