Gunderson Dettmer represented client Bite, a provider of intelligent kiosk solutions, in its $9 million Series A financing led by Staley Capital. For fast-casual, quick-serve restaurants and convenience stores with made-to-order food, Bite’s kiosk ordering software analyzes each transaction in real-time and provides upsell recommendations to ensure improved order accuracy, higher average check sizes, increased throughput and enhanced customer satisfaction. 

The company will use the funds to further accelerate its growth, with a focus on enterprise restaurant brands, emerging fast casual brands and innovative c-stores, scale its technology solutions with its existing partners, onboard new clients in its pipeline, invest in its technology capabilities, including its patented Artificial Intelligence, called Bite Lift.

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Rich Hesp and included Laura Stoffel, Jasmine Daniel and Jen Lichtman.
