Gunderson Dettmer represented client Coatue as it led the $150M Series C financing of CloudWalk, a Brazilian fintech platform. Gunderson client A-Star Partners also participated in the round. CloudWalk’s platform integrates blockchain and artificial intelligence for digital payment solutions. The new capital will be used to increase the company’s product portfolio, scale up its hiring, and plan for international expansion.

In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder and CEO of CloudWalk Luis Silva said, “The idea was to create a complete solution to process payments and make small and medium businesses attract more customers and receive their money cheaper and faster. We started with small machines, but from the beginning, we thought about going into online payments.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by partners Greg Volkmar and Michael Allers and associates Jeffrey Stricker, Madeleine Vella, Eduarda Tavares, and Allison Giebisch.
