Gunderson Dettmer Announces New Partners

Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP has announced the election of two new partners from within the firm, both based in the firm’s Boston office, effective January 1, 2014.

Marna Pattaropong, an Intellectual Property lawyer, represents leading start-up and emerging growth companies in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, software, hardware, media, and e-commerce.She specializes in corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection, and licensing and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets. Prior to her legal career, she worked as a chemical engineer for Monsanto Company.Marna received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, her M.B.A. from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and her B.S. from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jeff Engerman, a Corporate and Securities lawyer, specializes in the representation of emerging growth companies and venture capital investors.He is broadly experienced with corporate formation and governance matters, primary and secondary financing transactions, equity based compensation strategies, and M&A transactions, representing both buyers and sellers.He also advises a number of leading venture capital firms on investment and operational matters.Jeff received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from The Evergreen State College.
