Gunderson Dettmer represented Seattle-based, API client Gordian Software in the announcement of its $25 million Series A financing co-led by Accomplice and Vinyl with participation from Kinnevik, DST Global Partners and Latitude. Gordian caters to the needs of travel booking websites and helps to sell flight add-ons such as additional baggage, seat selection, and meals. The company will use its new capital to fuel the introduction of new products, expand into new customer segments and to grow its headcount.

In the announcement of the transaction, CEO of Gordian Software Stephen Grabowski said, “Much of the airline industry is stuck in a technological time warp, working with outdated systems that don’t communicate with each other. The result is lost revenue for airlines and their partners and an unsatisfactory and overly-complicated experience for travelers who want to customize aspects of their flight. We are solving this problem by providing a simple, flexible platform for selecting and purchasing add-ons and, in doing so, are on track to capture this multi-billion-dollar market.”

The Gunderson Deal team was led by Brian Patterson and included Nick Agate, Brandon Shelton, Shu Hu, Erika Athens and Andrew Cabral.
