Gunderson Dettmer represented co-lead investors Dalus Capital and Foundation Capital on Clivi’s seed financing. Clivi, a Mexico-based diabetes management startup, raised $10 million Series Seed financing. Clivi offers comprehensive diabetic treatment driven by digital tools to monitor patients' glucose along with step-by-step consultations enabling diabetic patients to receive treatment as and when required.

The new capital will be used to finish out the product, including its artificial intelligence technology, so that more of the functions are automated and doctors can increase their capacity for treating patients.

In the announcement of the transaction, Clivi founder and CEO Ricardo Moguel said, “In Mexico, there is an average of one endocrinologist per almost 10,000 patients. You might see a doctor every three months, but for chronic conditions, patients need to be making decisions every day.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Dan Green and included Daniel Gallo and Vard Danielyan.
