Gunderson Dettmer represented client Betty Labs, a tech startup that created Locker Room, a live audio app for sports fans, in its acquisition by Spotify.

In the announcement of the transaction, founder and CEO of Betty Labs Howard Akumiah said, “We are excited to join forces with Spotify and contribute to building the future of audio—we’ll invest more in our product, open the experience to Spotify’s audience, diversify our content offerings, and continue expanding the community we’ve built.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Trevor Knapp and included Mark Foster, Jerry Ku, Aaron Fiske, Michael Richman, Nicholas Agate, Tina Xu, Josh Ephraim, Andrew Leeds, Harrison Hawkes and John Paul Karas.
