Anduril Acquisition of Area-I

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Anduril Industries, a defense technology provider, in its acquisition of Area-I.
In the announcement of the transaction, CEO of Anduril Brian Schimpf said that he views Area-I’s drone technology as a way to extend the reach of manned military vehicles including ships, planes and helicopters to “push out sensing and awareness out beyond where it’s probably safe for humans.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Lou Soto and Matthew Martinez, and included Nick Harley, Mark Foster, Jaime Narayan, Michael Richman, Paul Sullivan, Jesse Birbach, Brad Brown, Matthew Weber, Zahrah Fadel and Anna He.
