Gunderson Dettmer represented client Andela, a global company that helps tech companies build remote engineering teams, in its $200 million Series E financing. The financing was led by Softbank Vision Fund 2. The new capital, which values the company at roughly $1.5 billion, will be used to grow its pool of job candidates across the globe.

In the announcement of the transaction, CEO and co-founder of Andela Jeremy Johnson said, “Andela has always been the high-quality option for those building remote engineering teams. The Gunderson deal team was led by David Gammell and included Vanessa Smith and Ali Blum.
