Gunderson Dettmer represented client Altimeter Capital as it led the $135 million Series C financing of Solo.io, a Cambridge, Massachusetts service mesh startup. The financing round brings Solo.io’s valuation to $1 billion and will enable the company to accelerate and keep the growth they’ve been experiencing.

In the announcement of the transaction, founder and CEO of Solo.io Idit Levi said, “We have a lot of diversity in the company. I think that it’s contributing to our success. We are reaching out to women in tech and people of color in tech, so we are definitely trying. We are going to meetups and looking for diverse people. And so we are trying and it’s definitely what we want to achieve.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Greg Volkmar and included Hilary Adams, Anand Mehta, Jessica Brodman, and Allison Giebisch.
