Gunderson Dettmer Releases 2025 Venture Capital Report
Gunderson Dettmer’s 2025 venture capital report shows a recovering but sharply split market, with AI startups winning a disproportionate share of capital at premium valuations. Non‑AI companies face tougher fundraising as AI tools lower costs, speed development and raise the bar for VC‑backable companies. Later‑stage investors are concentrating larger checks into a small group of frontrunners, often using rounds with secondary components, and just ten companies received more than half of all venture dollars in 2025.
