Rosie is a partner in the Strategic Transactions and Licensing group.
Rosie specializes in corporate partnering, strategic alliances, technology protection, and licensing and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets, as well as transactional IP issues related to our clients’ financing and M&A activities. She has represented start-up/emerging growth companies in numerous sectors, including software and SaaS, mobile and tablet applications, ad tech, media, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, e-commerce, and educational technology. She assists clients with website and application terms and conditions and privacy policies, privacy practices and compliance, license agreements, support and maintenance agreements, SaaS offerings, promotion and marketing agreements, collaboration and development agreements, distribution agreements, reseller agreements, evaluation and beta testing agreements, and a variety of other in- and out-licensing deals and services arrangements. She has also represented a number of leading venture capital firms in their portfolio M&A transactions and financings.
Rosie is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), holding the U.S. private-sector privacy certification granted by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the global standard in privacy certification. Rosie also serves on the Gunderson Dettmer Women's Affinity Group Leadership Committee.
Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, she focused on IP litigation at Kenyon & Kenyon LLP. Rosie received her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2012, where she served as Senior Editor of the Journal of International Law. While in law school, she also received a Master of Bioethics degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to attending law school, Rosie was a Teach for America corps member in Philadelphia, where she taught high school science classes, and concurrently received a Master of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cornell University in 2007.
