São Paulo-based Workforce Management Platform Tako Announces $13.2M Seed
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Tako, a São Paulo-based workforce management company, in its $13.2 million Seed financing co-led by Ribbit Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. Tako is an employee life cycle platform that automates tasks like onboarding and payroll to save companies time and bring all their employee information into one place.
In the announcement of the transaction, Tako CEO and founder Fernando Gadotti said, “Every time the payroll came around, there’s just a struggle, like it’s dreadful, many hours, just like double-checking data back and forth, and we couldn’t really get any insight that we needed. [We were] pretty much working in the dark, and as we kept growing, it hit me that these problems really weren’t just inconvenient; they’re actually slowing the company down. We’re wasting a lot of time in busy work.”
The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Randall Clark and included Rosie Stein, Tuca Bihari, Morgan Otway, Arthur Dalmarco and David Koenig.
