Volition Capital Announces its $675M Fund, Volition Capital Fund V
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Volition Capital in the formation of its $675 million fund, Volition Capital Fund V. The new fund totals over $675 million in aggregate capital commitments and assets under management totaling over $1.7 billion. Volition Capital is a growth equity firm that invests in high-growth, founder-owned companies across the software, Internet, and consumer sectors. The company plans to use the new capital to bring meaningful impact to businesses aspiring for greatness and continue its active board involvement across its portfolio companies.
In the announcement of the fund formation, Managing Partner at Volition Capital Larry Cheng said, “There’s nothing more fulfilling in this business than helping make a founder’s dream come true.
