Gunderson Dettmer represented client UBITS, a Colombia-based B2B online learning platform, in its $25 million Series B financing led by Riverwood Capital. UBITS offers companies an annual subscription that gives employees unlimited access to a virtual content library and live sessions for corporate training and opportunities for skill development. The new capital will enable the company to include and build out new content, courses, and AI-based functionalities to its platform, scale company hiring, and expand across Spanish-speaking markets.

In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder and CEO of UBITS Julián Melo said, “Our main goal is to create more content, improve technology and hire more engineers and people creating content, as well as people in product development, sales and customer success. We want to not only bring more customers but also retain and expand them.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Dan Green and included Jenna Finegold, Eduardo Espinosa de los Monteros Pereda and MJ Brinton, with additional support from Cameron Jahansouz.
