Gunderson Dettmer represented client The Spruce House Partnership as it led the $21 million Series A financing of Stitch, a South African fintech platform that provides businesses simple access to user financial accounts. The company will use its new capital to enhance its product offering and expand across Africa.

In the announcement of the transaction, Ben Stein, co-founder of Spruce House, said, “We have been following startups in Africa for many years. Our diligence was very clear that this is one of the most talented teams on the continent, and we are excited to be part of what they are building at Stitch.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Randall Clark and included Jeff Stricker, Kaitlin Zellner, Emily Miller, and Malikah Fulton.
