Tenaya Capital leads $31M Series A in Kargo

Gunderson Dettmer represented Tenaya Capital as it led the $31 million Series A financing in Kargo, a Jakarta-based digital freight technology startup. The round was joined by Sequoia India, Mirae Asset Management and Intudo Ventures among others.

In the announcement of the transaction Co-Founder of Kargo Tiger Fang said in response to coronavirus, "Kargo pledges to be the most reliable logistics partner to ensure no disruptions to the supply chain of essential items in Indonesia. Our entire company is donating a portion of our salaries to this cause and we invite local businesses and organizations to get in touch so we can work this problem together.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Bennett Yee and included Jonathan Pentzien, Jolyn Ang and Soo Guo Kai.
