Gunderson Dettmer represented client Better Stack, a developer of DevOps tools, in its $18.6 million Series A financing led by Creandum with participation from Susa Ventures, Credo Ventures and more. The company’s platform provides a SQL-compatible, structured log management software and an infrastructure monitoring platform that tracks uptime and alerts that increases efficiency and reliability for its users. Better Stack’s new capital will be used for hiring and to expand its team.

In the announcement of the transaction, CEO and co-founder of Better Stack Juraj Masar said, "We lived the daily struggles engineers go through at our previous jobs and with Better Stack we decided to solve at least some of them. We are simply engineers making the tools we always wanted to use."

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was co-led by Nic Markman and Nate Gray, and included Kennedy Rose, Tom Villeneuve and Lydia Carnevale.
