Gunderson Dettmer represented client Prosus Ventures as investor in the $35 million Series B financing of Airmeet, a US-headquartered event-led engagement platform. The new capital will enable Airmeet to expand its global footprint, invest in R&D and scale its go-to-market function.

In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder at Airmeet Lalit Mangal said, “Customer engagement has been fast evolving into a space that needs to go beyond the traditional channels. Brands have to start conversations and engage with customers without losing their human touch in the virtual space. Our mission has always been to focus on engagement and assist businesses with scaling their customer engagement through multiple interactive event formats.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Jonathan Pentzien, and included Kamna Kumar and Binh Vong.
