Gunderson Dettmer represented client Pomelo, a startup building a fintech-as-a-service platform for Latin America, in its $9 million Series Seed financing co-led by Index Ventures and Monashees.

In the announcement of the transaction, investor at Index Ventures’ Mark Fiorentino said, “They have the DNA of the most well-known payments companies within the LATAM fintech ecosystem… and have lived through the pain points and keyed in on this opportunity through firsthand experience.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Daniel Green and included Bradley Krack, Bob Zhao and Alexis Persson.
