Gunderson Dettmer represented client Konfio, an online lending platform, in its $110 million Series E extension led by Tarsadia Capital and QED Investors. The new capital establishes the company as a unicorn with a valuation of $1.3 billion.

In the announcement of the transaction, founder and director of Konfio David Arana said, “The SMEs in Mexico are vastly underserved, and we are obsessed with solving their needs by maximizing the use of data and technology. We are convinced that a long term strategy for servicing SMEs is favored by an integrated multi-product approach, where credit is an important lever, and by which customer interactions are optimized.”
