Imply Data Raises $100M Series D Financing

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Imply Data, a California-based developer of a full-stack and multi-cloud platform, in its $100 million Series D financing led by Thoma Bravo with participation from OMERS, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Khosla Ventures. The company’s platform uses the Apache Druid database to power real-time analytics and allows for companies to monitor data. The new capital will be invested towards Druid’s new engine, Polaris, and continue helping make developers successful.

In the announcement of the transaction, Co-Founder and CEO Fangjin Yang, “Today, every company is becoming a technology company and then every company is also becoming a data driven company. Now more than ever, developers are empowered to make critical business decisions, becoming the focal point for key business initiatives that really move organizations forward. At Imply, we believe developers are the new heroes of analytics but they’re so much more.”

The Gunderson deal team was co-led by Andy Bradley and Nic Markman and included Nate Gray, Jie Wang, Hannah Porter, Keon Seif-Naraghi, Kevin Mann.
