Gunderson Dettmer Announces New Partners

Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP has announced the promotions of seven associates to the partnership, effective January 1, 2015, bringing the total number of partners to 55.

“We are delighted to welcome these seven, very talented individuals as new partners,” said Robert V. Gunderson, Jr., Chairman of the firm. “The firm has experienced strong growth in each of its offices and these new partners will help us maintain the responsiveness and quality of service that our clients, which include a significant majority of the most prominent venture capital firms in the world as well as many of the fastest-growing global technology and life science companies, expect and deserve.”

The seven new partners are:

Charles Glass, Venture Fund and Corporate, New York. Charles specializes in the structuring, formation, organization and operation of venture capital and private equity funds and in representing emerging companies and venture capital investors. He received his J.D. from Columbia University and his B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Lisa Gorrin, Executive Compensation, New York. Lisa specializes in executive compensation for start-ups, emerging growth, and public companies. She received her J.D. from Columbia University and her B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Trevor Knapp, Corporate and Securities, Silicon Valley. Trevor specializes in the representation of start-up companies and venture capital investors. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his M.A. and B.A. from Stanford University.

Zhen Liu, Corporate and Securities, Beijing. Zhen specializes in venture capital and private equity, joint ventures, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She received her LL.M from New York University School of Law and her B.A. from Zhejiang University in China.

Adam Reuben, Corporate and Securities, New York. Adam focuses on the representation of emerging companies through their lifecycles and serves as investors’ counsel for numerous venture capital funds. He received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. from Haverford College.

John Tolpa, Corporate and Securities, San Diego. John represents a variety of emerging growth companies and venture capital investors, and specializes in general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He received his J.D. and B.S. from Cornell University.

David Wang, Venture Fund and Corporate, Silicon Valley and Beijing. David specializes in the structuring, formation, organization and operation of U.S., China and other international venture capital and private equity funds and related entities. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his A.B. from Princeton University.
