Gunderson Dettmer Announces Addition of New Partners in San Diego and Los Angeles: Jeff Thacker and Ross Burningham
Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP, the global leader in venture capital and emerging companies law, announced today that Jeffrey C. Thacker and Ross L. Burningham joined the firm as partners in the corporate practice group. Jeff will be based in the firm’s San Diego office and Ross will split his time between the firm’s San Diego office and the firm’s Los Angeles office. They join Gunderson Dettmer from the San Diego office of DLA Piper.
Jeff focuses his practice on the representation of public technology and life sciences companies. He represents his clients in their capital markets transactions including IPOs, secondary offerings, and private placements. He also represents his clients in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters. Jeff received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and his B.S. from Brigham Young University.
Ross represents emerging companies, particularly technology and biotech companies, throughout their lifecycle. He advises these companies on general corporate law, and also represents them in financings, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs. Ross also represents venture capital firms and investment banks in their investments. He received his J.D. from Brigham Young University Law School and his B.S. from Brigham Young University.
