GreyNoise Announces $15M Series A Financing

June 15, 2022Client News

Gunderson Dettmer represented client GreyNoise Intelligence, a Washington D.C.-based cybersecurity platform, in its $15 million Series A financing led by Radian Capital with participation from CRV, Inner Loop, Stone Mill Ventures and Paladin Capital. The cybersecurity platform analyzes internet scanning traffic to help organizations filter out and separate threats from internet “background noise.” The new capital will be used to expand its threat collection capabilities.

In the announcement of the transaction, Founder and CEO of GreyNoise, Andrew Morris said “Ask any SOC analyst and they will tell you that existing network security products aren’t cutting it. Security tools generate thousands of alerts from harmless events that need to be investigated, and alert fatigue causes missed threats and productivity issues. Our research and customer feedback has demonstrated that this is a largely solvable problem.”

The Gunderson Deal team was led by corporate partner Helen Reeves and included corporate partner Ryan Purcell, Jae Hyung Ryu, Jace Clegg, Merinda Davis, Sienna White, Alexandra Guttman, Alice Kuo and Michelle Xiao.
