Gunderson Dettmer represented Los Angeles-based client Ghost in its $13 million Series A financing led by Union Square Ventures to help expand its teams. Ghost, which also emerged from stealth mode, provides an online marketplace where suppliers are able to list their products with SKU information, availability, volume and enables brands and retailers to buy, sell and price that inventory in a discreet, efficient and sustainable way.

In the announcement of the transaction, general partner at Union Square Ventures Rebecca Kaden said, “We have seen a lot of stuff in inventory management but most of it are tools for one side of the market. Some may be interesting but we believe a true marketplace model in the middle of this category has the ability to capture the most value and also expand the market and who is involved on each side, which they are already seeing.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Randall Clark and included Chiyel Hayles, Darryl Long, Malikah Fulton and Emily Miller.
