Gunderson Dettmer represented client FreshToHome, a Bengaluru-based fish and meat delivery e-commerce platform, in its $104 million Series D financing led by Amazon’s India-focused Smbhav Venture Fund. Founded in 2015, FreshToHome serves over 4,000 fishers and farmers and millions of customers in over 160 cities in India and the UAE. This is the largest investment made by Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund to date.

In the announcement of the transaction, Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund’s spokesperson said, “We are impressed with the FreshToHome management team led by Shan Kadavil and they have done some quality work in creating a robust technology enabled supply chain and scalable backward integrated capabilities to serve both customers as well as farmers and fishers. We are excited to partner with FreshToHome for the next phase of its growth.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Jonathan Pentzien and included Kinnari Sahita, Binh Vong and Lim Jun Heng.
