Gunderson Dettmer represented client Flat.mx, an online property marketplace, in its $20 million Series A financing co-led by Anthemis and 500 Startups. The company plans to use the new funding to continue to develop what it describes as a “one-stop shop where homeowners and buyers will be able to get all the services they need in one place.”

In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder of Flat.mx Bernardo Cordero said, “The real estate market in Mexico is broken. One of the biggest problems is that it takes sellers anywhere from six months to two years to sell. So we launched the most radical solution we could find to this problem: an instant offer. This product allows homeowners to sell in days instead of months, a fast and convenient experience they can’t find anywhere else.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Daniel Green and Brad Krack and included Lily Kim, Nick Agate, Jamilah Mena and Chase Beckstead.
