Gunderson Dettmer represented China-based client CyberServal, a data security startup, in its Series A financing led by Source Code Capital with participation by Honghua Fanxing Cyber Security Angel Fund and Sky9 Capital. Established in 2021, CyberServal provides enterprises with data security solutions by creating innovative products relating to threat detection and response. The company plans to integrate team attack and defence technology with R&D to launch more data security products.

In the announcement of the transaction, CEO at CyberServal Wang Yu said, “Most of CyberServal’s team members have many years of experience in safety and entrepreneurship. The current data security field is very promising, with a lot of unmet needs.”

The Gunderson Dettmer deal team was led by Zhen Liu and included Shuyue Tan and Suki Su.
