Austin-based Gigafund Co-Leads $60M Series B Financing of Sana

Gunderson Dettmer represented Austin-based client Gigafund as it co-led the $60 million Series B financing of Sana, a health insurance platform that offers more affordable health plans to small and medium-sized businesses. The new capital invested will enable Sana to plan for expansion and scale its teams across operations.
In the announcement of the transaction, Co-Founder and CEO of Sana Will Young said, “Our plans cover everything legacy health insurers do while including free visits to next-generation virtual care services in primary care, mental health, pediatrics and maternity.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Randall Clark and included Jeff Stricker and Joe Erdos.
