Anchorage Raises $350M Series D Financing

Gunderson Dettmer represented client Anchorage Digital, a San Francisco-based digital asset platform, in its $350 million Series D financing led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). Anchorage’s platform focuses on making it safe and accessible for institutions to participate in the digital asset space. The new capital brings the company’s valuation to over $3 billion and will enable the company to enhance its infrastructure solutions for global financial firms and fintech innovators.

In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder and president of Anchorage Diogo Mónica said, “As more and more institutions look to add crypto services into their offerings, we find ourselves at an inflection point. This funding positions Anchorage Digital to meet the unprecedented institutional demand for this rapidly evolving market. We're grateful that KKR and this wider group of investors share our vision to expand regulated institutional access to digital assets.”

The Gunderson deal team was led by Trevor Knapp and included Jared Mayberry, Alli Henry, Anjuli Schlievert, Anna He, Hannah Porter, Micaela Cervantes, and Yeji Han.
