Gunderson Dettmer Represents TensorStax in Acquisition by Snowflake
Gunderson Dettmer represented TensorStax, an AI-powered, autonomous data infrastructure platform, in its acquisition by Snowflake, a cloud-based data platform.
TensorStax’s specialized tooling is built to make agents effective at data engineering and to help developers create the next generation of data and AI applications using systems that don’t just generate output, but reason, verify, and operate autonomously.
With this acquisition, Snowflake is creating a unified environment where agentic AI handles the heavy lifting of ingestion and transformation by treating pipeline code as a priority inside its AI Data Cloud. This frees data engineers to shift their focus from writing individual functions to orchestrating intelligent ecosystems.
“I’m incredibly grateful to our customers, investors, and early believers who supported us from the very beginning,” said Aria Attar, Founder and CEO of TensorStax, in the announcement of the acquisition. “We’re excited to keep building as part of Snowflake and join them in their mission to help every enterprise unlock its full potential through data and AI.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by corporate partner Andy Bradley and associate Damon Zhangchai and included strategic transactions and licensing partner Jesse Birbach, tax partner Lily Kim and associate Tina Xu, executive compensation partner Craig Olshan, data privacy associate Frida Alim, and corporate associate Esalyna Liang.
