Gunderson Dettmer Represented Incode in AuthenticID Acquisition
Gunderson Dettmer represented client Incode Technologies, the global leader in AI-driven identity and trust technologies, in its acquisition of AuthenticID.
Incode's state of the art AI platform offers a highly secure and seamless AI-based experience that eliminates fraud and drives growth. AuthenticID’s fully automated solution verifies government-issued identification documents with the market's most powerful, next-generation, AI platform for fraud detection and identity verification.
The deal unites two trusted names, forming an integrated AI powerhouse built for the next era of secure, scalable, and intelligent digital identity – a market projected to grow to $116 billion by 2027. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Incode's 80% year-on-year organic growth rate and further solidify its leadership position in the market.
In the announcement of the acquisition, Incode founder and CEO Ricardo Amper said, “In the age of synthetic fraud, AI impersonation, and Agentic AI, verifying human identity has become the foundation of digital trust. Together with AuthenticID, we're hardening the front line against these threats, so every enterprise can trust every interaction.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Dan Green, Andrew Luh, David Moore and Brian Willbur, and included Adam Spaulding, Eduardo Espinosa de los Monteros Pereda and Mark Mabry.
