Caplight Raises $16 Million Series A

Gunderson Dettmer represented Caplight Technologies in its $16 million Series A financing. The round was led by BlackRock and Fin Capital with strategic participation from UBS Investment Bank.

Caplight is building data and transaction infrastructure for venture capital by combining proprietary private company data with a marketplace that connects investors and broker-dealers to enable secondary market liquidity. The new capital will fuel expansion across private market data and agentic workflows for research and transactions.

The Gunderson deal team was led by Valerie Wood and included Erica Davis, Lawrence Ho, Eric Peshkin, AJ Wilson, and Sam Lala.
