Anduril Raises $5 Billion Series H at $61 Billion Valuation
Gunderson Dettmer represented Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, in its $5 billion Series H funding round led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. The round raises Anduril’s valuation to $61 billion.
The new funding will allow the company to continue investing in manufacturing capacity, research and development, and the infrastructure required to build and field advanced defense systems at scale.
“When we founded Anduril in 2017, defense was not a category that attracted significant venture investment,” said Brian Schimpf, CEO of Anduril, in an announcement about the transaction. “That has changed meaningfully over the last several years. Investors have increasingly recognized the scale of the technological and industrial challenges facing the United States and its allies. They are also observing an environment in which the most agile, adaptive, and ambitious companies are the ones most capable of solving these challenges.”
The Gunderson team was led by Lou Soto and included Nick Harley, Adam Lin, Joe McGinley, Mark Mabry and Ben Lezin.
