AI Voice Agent Toma Announces $17M Series A Financing
Gunderson Dettmer represented its client Toma, a provider of AI voice agents for auto dealerships, in its $17 million Series A financing led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Y Combinator, Flex Capital and Holman. Toma’s AI agent enhances the customer experience for dealerships facing high call volumes by providing more consistent and enriched interactions. The company’s new financing will be used to hire additional sales staff and meet growing demand from dealerships across the country.
In the announcement of the transaction, Toma released a statement saying, “Our focus is on building the AI agents of tomorrow that tie together internal and external workflows across departments to offer the absolute best customer experience. Whether it is managing a part order and delivery for a critical repair or helping with a warranty claim that requires technicians to follow due processes, our AI agents will work alongside your staff, saving them countless hours by automating repetitive but crucial tasks and ensuring every customer is always taken care of.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Paul Sullivan and included Jessica Crabill, Vijeta Kanabar, Jesse Birbach and Yue Yang.
