Netlify Raises $105M in Series D Financing
Gunderson Dettmer represented Netlify, a web development platform, in its $105 million Series D financing led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Netlify pioneered the Jamstack web architecture and equipped frontend developers to build full-stack web applications without the overhead of servers. The new capital will enable the company to double its employees within the next year to support its diverse customer base.
In the announcement of the transaction, co-founder of Netlify Christian Bach said, “It has always been extremely important for us just because of the fact that we are an enterprise global company that caters to anyone that builds for the web. So that’s a very diverse target audience, and in order for us to have sufficiently intelligent organization, we need to be diverse as well.”
The Gunderson deal team was led by Nicholas Markman and included Harrison Hawkes, Anna He, Amy Luong, and Rose Wang.
