Gunderson Dettmer Advises Pillow on Acquisition by Expedia

Gunderson Dettmer client Pillow was acquired by Expedia as part of the global travel company’s strategy to unlock urban growth opportunities.

Pillow, headquartered in San Francisco, helps residents list their homes for short-term rentals without violating leases. The company has raised a total of $15.5M in venture funding since its inception in 2013. Investors include Mayfield, Sterling.VC, Peak Capital Partners, Expansion VC and others.

The Gunderson deal team representing Pillow included Trevor Knapp, Colin Chapman, Mark Foster, Heather Aune, Shefali Tandon, Makda Goitom and Jace Clegg.
