His practice focuses on general corporate counseling, venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He works with technology and life sciences companies at all stages, as well as venture capital investors, on matters ranging from formation and corporate governance to exit transactions.

With a background in finance and prior experience in both private practice and in-house business roles, Ryan brings a commercially focused perspective to his legal work. Before joining Gunderson Dettmer, he was an associate at Brown Rudnick in Boston, and he previously held analytical and finance roles at aerospace and aviation companies, where he gained experience in pricing strategy, financial analysis, and strategic business development.
